Release No.1  The Mushroom

The second series of Hardin's Creek explores how a whiskey is shaped by the warehouse it calls home. This particular whiskey rested in Warehouse R.

Made up of one single floor, Warehouse R is uniquely close to the earth - and with no windows for sunlight to pour in, it's as cool and dark as the underside of a fallen log. It feels like the kind of place you might stumble across a fascinating creature, the Witch's Hat Mushroom, thriving in the shade of the forest floor.

TASTING NOTES

Some people have remarked this whiskey leads with oak and char, with notes of toasted sweetness too – but we’d suggest you take a sip and decide for yourself.

This release belongs to the second series from Hardin’s Creek®: an exploration of how a whiskey is shaped by the warehouse it calls home. Identical mashbills were spread across our Clermont Campus, placed in warehouses of varying heights, ages, and microclimates, and left to mature for over 11 years.
